Hurricane Season runs from June 1 through November 30 each year.

At this time, we want to remind all owners of the following preparations for which you are responsible whenever your apartment is unoccupied and additional information when we are under a Watch/Warning for a Tropical Storm or Hurricane.

Before leaving the unit unoccupied: (standard procedures whenever your unit is empty)
    • The unit’s water must be turned off at the shut-off valve.
    • The hot water heater must be turned off by the shut off valve and switch.
    • All refrigerators should be emptied of perishable foods. Owners will be billed for any cleanup due to food spoilage.
    • Air conditioning must be left on to prevent mold and mildew buildup. All windows are to be closed and locked.
    • Remove all outdoor furniture.

Storm/Hurricane Preparation

  • Owners are fully responsible for storm preparation. As the owners, it is your responsibility to ensure that any family, guests, or lessees follow these procedures. Employees are NOT available to assist in these responsibilities as they are responsible to prepare and protect the common elements in the event of a storm.
  • Currently our property has storm windows and doors. Hurricane/storm shutters will not be installed by employees.
  • BE AWARE – In the event of a Mandatory Evacuation the following will occur:
    • All elevators will be turned off
    • The building power will be shut off
    • There will be no “on-site” staff
    • Bridges are locked down; no Emergency Medical Assistance will be available until such time as the storm has passed and the area has been deemed safe to enter.
    • Anyone deciding to remain on the premises will be “on their own
