Jan 27 Concrete Restoration Status

Flacks Painting and Restoration is now on property mobilizing for the upcoming concrete restoration.

They will be using parking spots 55-59 on the east side of the property.  Arrangements are being made for those impacted by the loss of 5 spaces.  We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and flexibility in accommodating the necessary changes.

Today, and possibly tomorrow, the contractor is taking video of the current conditions of the building.  If you might be in your unit, please be aware that there may be someone taking pictures!

Tomorrow, the contractor will start applying blue protective film to your windows.  Please do not remove this film.  It will protect against any concrete or paint that may touch the glass.

Actual work will probably begin in the next couple of weeks, after the engineer marks the areas of the building that need repair.  Work will start with the Northeast corner (Apts # _21) of the building and continue until completion on the northwest corner (Apts # _01).

Please do not engage the workers in conversation.  All questions/concerns should be directed to the office.

Please be aware that concrete buildings will amplify the noise of the drilling or pounding.  You may want to leave once the noise starts and go to the beach, the mall or for a long lunch!
